Phil provided full film and creative direction for Leon Thomas’s Mutt album, including album artwork photography, and music video direction. Leveraging the aesthetics of movie trailers and short vignettes, the visual world fuses Leon's two worlds: music and acting. The creative direction featured a specific color story for each visual and was centered around themes of companionship, rebellion, and independence.

The album was nominated for 6 Grammys. At the 68th Grammy Awards, Mutt won Best R&B Album. Billboard named Mutt the best R&B album of 2024, with the title track spending 30 weeks at No. 1 on Hot R&B Songs.
